Also, Yudof sent a letter yesterday (May 5) to the university community, updating staff and faculty on UC advocacy efforts for state financial support. He noted that an an all-cuts budget -- as proposed by Gov. Jerry Brown as an alternative to the tax extensions that he really wants -- "would be devastating to the university and the students and communities we serve, and put at risk our faculty’s research, a critical driver of future jobs and wealth in California."
