Wine, Beer and Food Lectures at Mondavi Institute

Sept. 30., Thursday -- Fine wine, beer and consumer preferences in food will be the topics of guest speakers during the inaugural lecture of the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science's Lectureship Series. At 10:30 a.m. Ted Hall, chairman of the board for Robert Mondavi Corporation, will discuss the role of fine wine in the global wine industry. At 12:15, Deborah Perkins, head of the food and agribusiness division or Rabobank, will talk about consumer preferences in the food industry; and at 1 p.m. Douglas Muhleman, group vice president of brewing operations and technology for Anheuser-Busch, will discuss the relationship between brewing, agriculture, and food science. Registration and the first lecture will be in the Studio Theatre of the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Performing Arts Center, and lunch and the afternoon talks will be in the nearby AGR Room of the Buehler Alumni and Visitors Center.
