The Office of Graduate Studies last week launched its new Graduate Studies Web Site at http://gradstudies.ucdavis.edu/. The new pages comply with currrent standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations, and take advantage of modern Web features. For instance, the new pages are flexible, so images and text will stretch and grow to fit larger monitors. Design and content considerations that drove the recently completed campus home page redesign drove this redesign as well, says University Communications Web developer Kevin Lui. Pages include a graduate studies news archives, reports and statistics, a staff directory, online version of the previously print-only Graduate Student Handbook, a "Meet Current Graduate Students" section, an Intra-site Google search, and links to 85 UC Davis graduate studies programs. In the works is a new online version of the GradLink weekly newsletter, a new graduate student academic appointment listing system and a new postdoctoral scholar employment listing system.
