* April 22, Tuesday -- Ron Mittelstaedt, president and chief executive officer of Waste Connections Inc., will answer the question "Are MBA Financial Principles All Garbage?" during a presentation at UC Davis. His Folsom-based company provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in secondary markets throughout the western United States and has recently expanded into Tennessee and Mississippi. Mittelstaedt holds a bachelor's degree in finance from UC Santa Barbara. His lecture is part of the Dean's Distinguished Speaker Series of the Graduate School of Management.
