Vet med building dedicated

A horse-drawn wagon delivered dignitaries to Gladys Valley Hall at the School of Veterinary Medicine for the building's dedication on June 15. In the ribbon-cutting photo are, from left, Dean Bennie Osburn; April Miles, president of the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medicine Association; Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef; and alumnus Michael Floyd. Pictured behind the chancellor are Tammy Valley and Nathan Valley, daughter and grandson of the late Wayne and Gladys Valley, whose foundation provided $10.7 million for the building. Total cost was about $27 million; the building includes two auditoriums, five classrooms and seminar rooms, a computer classroom, and conference areas, as well as rooms for training students in diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and clinical procedures.
