Vet Hospital to Host ICU Reunion

April 17, Saturday -- UC Davis' Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital will welcome back clients and animal patients who previously were treated at the hospital's intensive care unit for an ICU Reunion. The celebration will include specially formulated "cake and ice cream" for the pets; demonstration of critical-care techniques on animal models; and interviews with faculty, staff and clients. Among the 20 to 30 now-healthy pets expected to attend will be a dog that spent 36 days on a ventilator. The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the veterinary school's Center for Companion Animal Health, adjacent to the hospital.
