UC Davis Police Seek Witnesses to Sexual Assault And Attempted Rape

The UC Davis Police Department is seeking possible witnesses to the sexual assault and attempted rape of a female student as she was about to leave a campus building at 7 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 19).

Three sketches are being released to the community in hopes that these individuals, who were seen in the area at the time of the incident, will contact the campus police department.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of these individuals or about the assault is urged to contact the UC Davis Police Department Crime Tip Line at (530) 752-9944.

The student was knocked to the ground as she attempted to exit the west entrance of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building. The suspect pinned her to the ground and attempted to disrobe her. After a struggle, she was able to free herself and flee the scene.

The suspect was described as a male of unknown age and race, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds with a slender build. He was reportedly wearing a dark blue nylon ski jacket, jeans, white tennis shoes, and a dark green or blue ski mask.
