The Putah Creek Council announced a tree-planting event: 100 trees for 100 years of UC Davis history. Volunteers are asked to gather at 9 a.m. March 7 at Brooks Road and Levee Road, west of Highway 113 and south of the University Airport. The trees will go in the UC Davis Putah Creek Riparian Reserve. More information, including a map: putahcreekcouncil.org.
