Daniel Reano-Koven and Bridgitte Davis appear in Brigid's Reign in the THIRDeEYE Theatre Festival.

Erin Cookston, left, and Kelly Fleishmann appear in Ghost, Bathtub, Windmill, one of three plays in this year's THIRDeEYE Theatre Festival, continuing at 8 p.m. Jan. 18-19 and Jan. 24-26; and 2 p.m. Jan. 27, in the Wyatt Pavilion Theatre.

The annual festival, presented by the Department of Theatre and Dance, features works that are written, directed, acted, designed and staged by undergraduate students. Elise Kane is the Ghost, Bathtub, Windmill playwright. This year's other plays and their writers: Brigid's Reign by John Crosthwaite and Miracle Fish by Kellie Raines.

The theatre and dance Web site states: "The productions aim to open the viewer's third eye. Miracle Fish explores how people often attach divinity or inspiration to objects. Ghost, Bathtub,Windmill honors holocaust victims by demonstrating that even the most dire situations can be transcended. (It includes an unforgettable bathtub scene!) Brigid's Reign, which was inspired by testimonies and legends surrounding the Troubles of Northern Ireland, shows hopefulness in the aftermath of tragic events."

All three are presented at each performance; the festival includes prop firearms, loud noises and adult language.

Tickets are available through the Mondavi Center box office: (530) 754-2787 or (866) 754-2787, or www.mondaviarts.org.
