Summer intramurals: softball, Ultimate Frisbee

Campus Recreation is running softball and Ultimate Frisbee leagues this summer. And, like all intramurals, these leagues are open to students, faculty, staff and alumni. The deadline for registration is 5 p.m. today (June 26).

Softball—10-person teams in a men’s open division, a “co-rec” open division and a “co-rec” recreational division. (“Co-rec” is men and women playing together.) Play begins July 6, with games scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday on the Hutchison Intramural Field (west). $30 per team. Captains meeting: 5:30 p.m. July 1, Meeting Room 3, Activities and Recreation Center.

Campus Rec also is teaming with Staff Assembly for a summer rec league; participants do not need intramural cards to play. See separate story.

Ultimate Frisbee—Seven-person teams in a “co-rec” open division, with teams separated by level of play. Play begins July 6, with games scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday on the Hutchison Intramural Field (east). $30 per team. Captains meeting: 6 p.m. July 1, Meeting Room 3, ARC.

“Open” leagues have no restrictions of any type on who can play (e.g., gender or skill level). “Recreational” leagues are designed
for beginning teams; they cannot have any “experienced players.”

To register, go to the administrative office at the ARC (second floor).
