UC Davis officially welcomed Aggie Stadium, home to both the women's lacrosse team and the football team, in a dedication on Oct. 13. The ceremony featured campus leaders, athletic legends and both past and current student representatives. Retired football coaches Jim Sochor and Bob Foster were honored, and Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef, Vice Chancellor Fred Wood, former ASUCD President Scott Reed, former Aggie Pack leader Brian Rocca and current ASUCD Sen. Molly Fluet offered remarks. However, Aggie Stadium, which opened last April to a winning outcome when the women's lacrosse team beat Saint Mary's College 17-5, was not the scene of victory later that day as the Cal Poly football team beat the Aggies 63-24.
