Oct. 22, Wednesday -- Stephen Zunes, professor of politics and international studies at the University of San Francisco will compare the current U.S. invasion of Iraq to the now 25 year old invasion of Grenada in his presentation, "How the Grenada Invasion Paved the Way to Iraq: On the 25th Anniversary." In addition to authoring numerous articles and books on U.S. Middle East foreign policy, Zunes is also a frequent guest on the BBC news network, MSNBC and PBS. This talk is part of a series of Summer Fieldwork Presentations by the UC Davis Hemispheric Institute on the Americas (HIA). Zunes' talk will be held in room 5214 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Building, from noon to 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public. Co-sponsored by the Middle Eastern/South Asian Program (MESA).
