Water and energy
Several speakers from UC Davis are on the program for “The Water-Energy Connection” another in a series of community forums sponsored by the Valley Action Climate Center and the city of Davis.
The forum, open to the public, is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. March 25 in the Community Chamber at City Hall, 23 Russell Blvd.
Organizers said the forum will explore innovative approaches to water conservation, not only to save water but to cut back on the amount of energy that is needed to keep Californians supplied with water, and then to clean it after it is used.
The UC Davis speakers: Frank Loge, director, Center for Water Energy Efficiency; and Professor Emeritus, George Tchobanoglous, Harold Leverenz and Kendra Olmos, all of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
