Children, employees and grad students on Oct. 23 took "elephant train" rides (a trailer hitched to a wagon) from the Vegetable Field Crop Labs to a nearby pumpkin patch on UC property. There the children picked out some of the Cucurbita pepo as part of the Plant Sciences Pumpkin Patch Fall Social and Chili Cook-Off.
