The UC Davis Cycling Club finished second to Stanford in the Division I Team Competition of the 2007 National Collegiate Cycling Championship last weekend in Lawrence, Kan. UC Davis won the team title in 2006. From left, students Amy Encalada, Jamima Illey and Marisa McAdler Encalada finished the 20-kilometer team time trial race in 27 minutes 29 seconds, only 8.6 seconds behind the winning squad from Fort Lewis College (Colo.), good enough for a silver medal. Student Tyler Dibble finished eighth in the 84-mile road race and second in the 65-minute criterium en route to a silver medal in the men's individual omnium. More than 500 student-athletes from across the country participated in the annual competition.
