Students participating in Pajamarino — one of UC Davis' oldest traditions — wait Oct. 20 at the Davis Amtrak station at Second and G streets. The tradition began in the 1930s, when students snuck out of their dorms in their pajamas to welcome alumni riding the train to Davis for Homecoming Weekend. The students — wearing pajamas — and the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh join with the alumni to march through downtown Davis to the annual homecoming bonfire on campus. This year for the homecoming football game on Oct. 21, the 18th-ranked Aggies rolled over Southern Utah University 27-7, thrilling a crowd of 7,805 at Toomey Field.
