OLIVE OIL CELEBRATION

Grounds division workers carefully tend the olive trees that produce the fruit that goes into UC Davis olive oil. Pictured are, from left, Jose Aguayo, Gary Perez and Serafin Velasco. The university launched its olive oil last year, and the product sold out. Soon you will have a chance to purchase this year's release, and a new product, vinegar. A tasty celebration is planned from 4 to 6 p.m. March 14 at the Silo Café & Pub. People planning to attend are asked to RSVP at ucdoliveoil@ucdavis.edu.
