Pete Nowlen directs the University Concert Band and UC Davis Wind Ensemble at their annual noon concert May 24 on the Quad. The program featured works by Percy Grainger, Hector Berlioz and John Philip Sousa. The concert band, a fixture on the campus for more than 50 years, performs symphony classics and includes about 75 student members.
