Inbal Pinto -- Dance company based in Tel Aviv, presenting Shaker, a new piece by Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak. 8 p.m. Oct. 14, Jackson Hall. Preperformance lecture by Elizabeth "Shelly" Gilbride, teaching assistant, Department of Theatre and Dance, 7 p.m. Studio Theatre.

Natalie MacMaster -- The award-winning musician from Nova Scotia is considered a standard-bearer for Cape Breton fiddling -- referring to a region steeped in Celtic musical tradition. MacMaster, a singer and stepdancer, too, is making her fourth appearance at the Mondavi Center in seven years. 8 p.m. Oct. 16, Jackson Hall.
