* Oct. 6, Saturday -- Bids of $2.50 to $200 are expected to win the more than 350 bicycles offered for sale at the semi-annual UC Davis Bicycle Auction. The average selling price of the bikes, most of which were abandoned on campus or unclaimed from the UC Davis Police Department, is usually $20 to $30. Also sold at the auction will be other items unclaimed from the police department or campus lost and found including electronics, sports equipment, jewelry, clothing and books. The auction will take place behind the Fire and Police Building, just north of Hutchison Drive on Kleiber Hall Drive. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., when the auction will begin.
