Fake blood, an explosion and simulated gunfire were the highlights of Operation Gallant Eagle, a full-scale exercise by the UC Davis Police and Fire departments on Sept. 16. The goal—to test the response of these units to a major violent incident on campus. Officer Joe Wagstaff, center, and others respond to two ‘active shooters’ in the Food Science and Technology Building.
