-- Michael Denison, professor of environmental toxicology at UC Davis, organized and chaired the 20th International Symposium on Halogenated Environmental Organic Pollutants and Persistent Organic Pollutants, Dioxin 2000, in Monterey. The symposium included 918 participants representing 34 countries. The diverse international group included scientists, government regulators and researchers, industry representatives, media and the general public.
