Nov. 9, Sunday -- Students from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the UC Davis Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association will hold a fundraising dog wash from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Sacramento at the Arden Animal Hospital, 1823 Fulton Ave., between Arden Way and Alta Arden. Proceeds will help finance the students' attendance at this year's Student American Veterinary Medical Association Symposium in Ohio. The basic dog wash will cost $20 for smaller dogs and $5-$15 additional for dogs weighing 50 pounds or more. Dogs can be dropped off in the morning or afternoon and picked up one to two hours later. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins also are welcome.
