UC Davis will host a special broadcast of the public radio show, "Forum With Michael Krasny," in front of a live audience at the School of Veterinary Medicine on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 29. "Forum" is produced by KQED-FM 88.5 in San Francisco and KQEI-FM 89.3 in the Sacramento region.
The two-hour program will present a wide-ranging conversation with the opening hour focused on the education of veterinarians and their evolving role in contemporary society. The second hour of the discussion will focus on the scientific and environmental connections between veterinary medicine and human health. The panel of guests will include Dean Bennie Osburn of the School of Veterinary Medicine; Richard Breitmeyer, California state veterinarian; and other UC Davis faculty and students.
This live broadcast event is free and open to the public. Local students, faculty and community members are encouraged to participate as members of the audience. Seating for the event is limited, and audience members are requested to RSVP by phone or e-mail prior to the event.
The event will take place in Lecture Room 1102, Veterinary Medicine Laboratory Facility on the UC Davis campus. The show will broadcast live from 9 to 11 a.m. Audience members will need to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m.

"Forum With Michael Krasny" is a daily live call-in radio program that presents discussions of local, state, national and international issues. Forum broadcasts every weekday from 9 to 11 a.m. on 88.5-FM KQED and 89.3-FM KQEI public radio.
Directions: From I-80, take Highway 113 north. Exit at Hutchison Drive and turn right toward campus. Immediately turn right onto West Health Sciences Drive and continue around the curve. Visitor parking is available in the lot on your right (visitor parking lot 57). To reach the venue, continue to the T-intersection at the end of West Health Sciences Drive, where it joins Garrod Drive. The Veterinary Medicine Laboratory Facility is across the street to the left on Garrod Drive.
