Graduate School of Management Dean Nicole Biggart talks to William Lacy, vice provost for outreach and international programs, and Scott Lenet of the venture capital firm DFJ Frontier at the Sacramento Regional Life Science Summit March 4. Organized by UC Davis CONNECT, the summit brought together more than 200 business people, venture capital investors, university researchers and others to discuss trends affecting the growing life sciences business sector in the Sacramento region. Session topics included dealing with intellectual property and regulatory issues; raising investment capital; communicating controversial issues to the public; and overviews of research in biophotonics, nanotechnology and genomics at UC Davis and national labs.
