Dear editor:

Regarding the issue of having a constitutional amendment to allow foreign-born citizens to become president (Dateline, Jan. 14), and how this might be perceived as a pro-Republican issue because the first likely beneficiary of this amendment would be Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger: Why not combine this with another amendment allowing a president to serve more than two terms?

That would most likely immediately benefit Democrat Bill Clinton, and so both parties might support this two-for-one amendment.
