Chancellor Larry Vanderhoef on Monday received the 2006 Northern California International Leadership Award at the Ninth Annual Capital City Consular Corps luncheon in Sacramento. The event was attended by some 425 people, including the consuls general of 49 countries. Sunne McPeak, left, state secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing, presented Vanderhoef the award on behalf of the Northern California World Trade Center and her agency. "He is bringing a special thrust and mission to the university to be an international center ... an international campus in every dimension," she said.
