Jonah Borg, left, teaches Davis resident Neil Rubenking how to play the American Indian-style flutes at the Whole Earth Festival on May 12. Borg traveled from Southern Arizona to sell the flutes at the campus’s funky three-day festival of music, dance, arts and crafts. About 30,000 people attended the Whole Earth Festival , which was established in 1969 as the by-product of an art history course taught by Jose Arguelles.
