HYDROGEN FUEL CELL OPEN HOUSE...

Clayton Halliday from architects and engineers, takes a peek at the fuel cell on the tractor trailer rig that powers auxiliary systems in the truck. UC Davis held an open house Oct. 20 featuring its research in clean-running vehicles. Professors and students from the UC Davis Institute of Transportation Studies showcased the region's newest hydrogen fueling station and a new hydrogen-enriched natural gas transit bus. Behind Halliday are C.J. Brodrick, a former UC Davis student and currently a professor at James Madison University; Harry Dwyer, from mechanical and aeronautical engineering; David Grupp, mechanical and aeronautical engineering; and Jeffrey Jacobs from ChevronTexaco.
