HOW COOL ARE THESE COWS?

Four little cows went looking for their moms at the UC Davis dairy recently, and in the process grabbed a prize in a Mediation Services contest: How Cool Is Your Cow? Actually, the prize goes to Police Chief Annette Spicuzza and two other Police Department employees, Susan Wagler, management services officer, and Faith Maul, management analyst and executive assistant to the chief. The three designed and executed the photo sthat you see here, one of 171 entries in the contest that asked people in the campus community to decorate the squeeze-able cows that Mediation Services gives out. The Spicuzza-Wagler-Maul entry won in the best herd category, while Denice Leonard of the Shields Library serials unit won in the best single cow category, for Moodavi. All eight winning entries are pictured with all the other entries at http://mediation.ucdavis.edu/cows. Check them out, and see how creative UC Davis employees can be with cows and wordplay, including the entry judged best at representing the mediation theme: Failure to Cow-moo-nicate, submitted by Diana Ross of Communications Resources, Information and Educational Technology.
