There are many ways to deck the halls in Aggie Blue and Gold this holiday season, and Dateline has a roundup of some of the best and brightest gift ideas from all around campus. From ornaments to apparel to ways to keep the Year of the Egghead going, here are some gifts for the Aggies on your list:

Buggy gifts from Bohart Museum and more

The UC Davis Entomology Graduate Student Association, or EGSA, and the Bohart Museum of Entomology are ready to assist you with lots of bug-themed gift choices.

Ticked off? The Bohart Museum gift shop has keychains with stuffed toy animals such as ticks and fruit flies.

Hee haw? Put a “bee” in it. EGSA is offering “Bee-Haw” T-shirts and hoodies.

EGSA has several new designs, according to EGSA treasurer and doctoral student Iris Quayle of the Jason Bond lab.

There’s the Barbie-themed “Bugbie” T-shirt, designed by Marielle Simone Hansel Friedman, a doctoral student. 

The Bohart Museum houses a global collection of 8 million insect specimens, a live petting zoo and an insect-themed gift shop (in-person sales only).

The gift shop is stocked with everything from books, posters, T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and jewelry to insect-themed edibles, lathe pens (crafted by Jeff Smith, curator of the Lepidoptera collection), insect-collecting equipment and more. Gift ideas from Intercollegiate Athletics

Let the folks on your list cheer on the Aggies with a book of basketball tickets that puts the ball in their court. Flexbooks for men's basketball include 10 tickets for just $100 or 10 tickets for women's basketball for just $80. Use the tickets for any game in any quantity. For example, someone wants tickets for two people to five games, or wants to take eight people to one game and two to another. 

Have a Junior Aggie on your list? Gift them entry to all UC Davis sporting events by purchasing a Junior Aggie Club pass. Kids ages 3-13 can enroll in the Junior Aggie program for just $35. Passes include entry to all regular season sporting events (think basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics), and a T-shirt from Gunrock.
