Healthy 'til 100 Wellness Challenge nears end

Organizers of the Healthy ‘til 100 Wellness Challenge are reminding participants of a prize drawing for ARC passes at the conclusion of the challenge. The Retiree Center organized the program, which challenged all faculty and staff—retired or not retired—to make at least one healthy lifestyle change for 100 days.

The end date is Aug. 15, and everyone who completes the challenge is eligible for the drawing — provided they submit their challenge forms from Aug. 16 to 28.

Organizers said one person will receive two quarter passes to the Activities and Recreation Center and two ARC fitness class passes, donated by the Department of Campus Recreation.

Challenge forms can be submitted to the Retiree Center, 168 Everson Hall, or to the ARC Starbucks.

Sue Barnes, Retiree Center program manager, said the Healthy ‘til 100 Wellness Challenge will return next year, starting in mid-January. She added that several other UC campuses plan to adopt the program.
