Fred Wood, vice chancellor for student affairs, has accepted an appointment as  chancellor of the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

Wood will begin his new role on July 2, pending approval of the Minnesota university’s governing board. He will serve as the chief academic and executive officer for the Crookston campus, a public baccalaureate institution in northwestern Minnesota with 1,600 students.
