UC students and staff are once again joining others in the Davis community in presenting a Latin American cultural celebration as a fundraiser for children's charities in Latin America.

Festival Latinoamericano en Davis is set for June 23 at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St. Activities are set to begin with a crafts fair and food and beverage sales from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by a concert of music and dance from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the high school theater.

The festival is sponsored by four community organizations, ArgenDavis, Brazil in Davis, ChileCAD and the UEPAGE Foundation (Colombia); plus UC Davis' Hemispheric Institute on the Americas, the Student Programs and Activities Center, and two student groups, Colombianistas and the Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Cultura Latinoamericana.
