Exploring 'Eco-photography'

May 26, Wednesday -- David Robertson, professor and chair of the UC Davis Department of English, as well as a photographer of bioregional environs, will discuss his use of art images to explore the ambiguities between human and natural conditions. Robertson has been a guiding force behind the Putah-Cache Bioregion Project -- an interdisciplinary suite of research, education and community outreach in the Putah and Cache Creek watersheds. A leader in bioregional thought, Robertson has published numerous pieces on the literature and spirit of the West, including "West of Eden: The Art and Literature of Yosemite." Sponsored by the Pacific Regional Humanities Center at UC Davis, the hour-long talk begins at noon in Room 126 Voorhies Hall on the UC Davis campus.
