* Oct. 4, Thursday -- Faculty, staff and students of UC Davis will get going at the annual UC Davis Air Quality and Transportation Faire in the Silo Union Courtyard. The event, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will provide information on air quality as well as environmentally friendly and money-saving options for commuting -- from carpooling and vanpooling to public transit and from the campus-medical center shuttle to train services. Sponsored by the alternative transportation program of Transportation and Parking Services, the event will have participation from other transportation-related units on campus and off-campus organizations concerned with transportation and air quality.
