Engineers Host Kids Egg Drop

Friday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- The annual schools' egg drop competition will be held at the Engineering Unit III building on campus. This year's competition is open only to students in kindergarten through grade six, and there are some rule changes from previous years. Schools wishing to participate should register by Feb. 20. Other activities including a laser maze presented by the Optical Engineering Club, hands-on engineering puzzles and displays will also be available. The egg drop contest is organized by UC Davis student chapters of the Society of Women Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and is part of the activities marking National Engineering Week, Feb. 23-27.
