The main UC Davis homesite, comprising the ucdavis.edu landing page and hundreds of underlying pages, has been honored with a Webby People’s Voice Award. The awards, organized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, “honor the best of the Internet.”
“We are so honored and proud to bring the Webby Award to UC Davis,” said Tristan Peery, director of Web Communications in Strategic Communications. ”It took an incredible effort of many talented, hard-working people to bring this together. We are very grateful for the recognition of the web industry and the support of the UC Davis community.”
The site was redesigned in 2021 after a two-year process of research, testing and collaborative work across campus.
Fellow People’s Voice Award nominees in the school and university category included Harvard and Boston University, the latter of which took home a separate award chosen by judges. Other Webby winners this year included Drew Barrymore, Disney+, Apple Pay and more.
