UC Davis continues its long tradition of cultural celebrations, starting with an April 1 kickoff to herald all the celebrations that will soon spring forth.

Organizers said the kickoff event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Quad will feature performances by Danzantes del Alma, the MK Dance and Popping Club, the Nigerian Student Dance Group and more.

Then, here is what lies ahead:

• Native American Culture Days—April 5-10 (including PowWow, April 10)

• Danzanta del Alma annual show, this year titled Generaciones del Alma, April 10.

• Asian Pacific Culture Week—April 19-23 (including APCW Culture Night, April 23)

• La Raza Cultural Days—April 26-May 1 (including La Gran Tardeada, May 1)

• Mixed Heritage Week—May 3-7

• Black Family Week—May 17-22 (including Black Family Day, May 22)
