Craft Center summer sign-ups start June 23

Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. June 23 for summer classes at the Craft Center. A spokesman said summer offers faculty and staff an opportunity to work more closely with the craft instructors, given that fewer students are on campus.

The summer lineup includes almost 50 classes in ceramics, woodworking, welding, glass, screenprinting, jewelry, textiles, photography and various other arts and crafts -- and they range in length from one-day workshops to seven-week classes. Multiweek classes include passes to use the center's studios outside of class time.

Already skilled in a craft? You can purchase a pass to use the studios on your own time.

Registration continues during the center's regular hours until classes fill or until three days prior to the first class session.

Visit the center in the South Silo or arrange registration via phone, (530) 752-1475; or by mail or fax, using the online form at campusrecreation.ucdavis.edu.
