CRAFT CENTER STAFF SHOW AND AUCTION

Craft Center staff members are in the spotlight during the seventh annual Staff Show and Auction, starting today (Nov. 7).

Silent bids are welcome at any time during the show, which is set to culminate with a reception Dec. 5. At that time, a live auction will commence for any items with active bidders.

Jan Garrison, Craft Center coordinator, said winning bids generally range from $5 to $100, with most items selling for less than $25. Proceeds benefit the center’s programming and operations, serving students, staff, faculty and the community.

The show features jewelry, glasswork, metalwork, woodwork, textiles, ceramics, photography, painting, drawing, screen printing and mixed media.

“What could be better than handcrafted bargains?” Garrison asked.

People are invited to see the show and submit bids during the Craft Center’s regular hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. The center is in the South Silo.

The closing reception and live auction are set to begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 5.
