Bill Lockyer, California's attorney general and Democratic candidate for state treasurer, will be the first of several guests to speak at the spring commencement ceremonies. He will address graduates and their guests at the School of Law commencement tomorrow.
Other guest speakers include:
Barbara Kerr, president of the California Teachers Association — School of Education, June 14;
- U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena — College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, June 18; and
- William Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of Agilent Technologies — Graduate School of Management, June 17.
Faith Fitzgerald, a professor and assistant dean at the School of Medicine who recently was elected a regent of the American College of Physicians, will address the school's graduates at a ceremony June 10.
The 12 spring ceremonies, scheduled through June 18, will bring the estimated number of degrees awarded for the 2005-06 academic year to more than 7,000. The campus also holds two ceremonies in December.
The law school will award 11 master of laws degrees and 188 juris doctor degrees at its ceremony, which is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in the ARC Pavilion.

- School of Education — 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, Mondavi Center's Jackson Hall;
- Graduate Studies — 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, ARC Pavilion;
- College of Biological Sciences — 10 a.m. Friday, June 16, ARC Pavilion;
- College of Engineering — 3 p.m. Friday, June 16, ARC Pavilion;
- School of Veterinary Medicine — 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, ARC Pavilion;
- College of Letters and Science — 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, ARC Pavilion;
- Graduate School of Management — 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, Freeborn Hall; and
- College of Agricultural and Environ-mental Sciences — 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 18, ARC Pavilion.
The campus will offer live and on-demand Webcasts of each of the nine commencements held in the ARC Pavilion. Closer to graduation time, a link will be posted on the campus's home page at www.ucdavis.edu.
