CAMPUS COMMUNITY BOOK PROJECT: Author's visit Dec. 1

This year's Campus Community Book Project is winding toward its conclusion, with two programs, three films and a book discussion among the remaining events leading up to the author's visit Dec. 1.

The book this year is Mountains Beyond Mountains: The Quest of Dr. Paul Farmer, the Man Who Would Cure the World, by Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Kidder. In Mountains Beyond Mountains, he tells the  story of Paul Farmer, a Boston physician who co-founded Partners in Health to help impoverished people around the world.

All events are open to the public, and all are free except the author’s address at 8 p.m. Dec. 1.

WORLD AIDS DAY

Nov. 24-Dec. 4—Various activities, connected to the Campus Community Book project because this year’s book centers on the organization Partners in Health and its fight against AIDS and other diseases in poor countries like Haiti. World AIDS Day story and schedule.
