Registration is due by Sept. 16 for the Retiree Center’s second annual Oktoberfest. It is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the University Club Lounge — a different location than previously announced.
Organizers said Professor Charlie Bamforth of the Department of Food and Nutrition “will regale us with amusing anecdotes and facts from the world of brewing, interspersed with expert-led tasting of a selection of remarkable and diverse beers.”
The Oktoberfest also will include snacks (bratwurst, salads, bread and cheese, and dessert) and other beverages, organizers said.
The cost is $15 for members of the Emeriti and Retirees associations, and members’ guests; $20 for nonmembers. The registration form is available online (click on “Activities”).
