TONIGHT: DANZANTES DEL ALMA

UC Davis’ folklorico dance troupe, Danzantes del Alma, presents its 32nd annual show at 7 o’clock tonight in Freeborn Hall. The student performers specialize in a diverse repertoire from around Mexico. Advance tickets $13 general, $10 for students, at the Freeborn Hall box office or tickets.com; $2 more at the door. Children 12 and under: $6 in advance or at the door.

SPRING BREAK MATINEES

School matinees now open to the public at the Mondavi Center: Italy’s Teatro di Piazza o d’Occasione, a company that takes children on a magic carpet ride—literally—by inviting them to walk on the Children’s Cheering Carpet, an interactive prop that puts the children into the stories that are being told. The company will present Butterflies (Farfalle) seven times over three days in the Studio Theatre:

April 7—11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

April 8—9:30 and 11 a.m., and 1 p.m.

April 9—11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
