It may be early, but start planning now for partial road closures and temporary detours on campus from July through December.

The closures are due to several campus improvement and construction at the south end of campus (near the intersection of Old Davis Road and California Avenue). The road closures will be in two phases. From July through September, vehicular traffic currently using the California Avenue bridge (from Old Davis Road) will use a Putah Creek Lodge Road detour. Cyclists and pedestrians will be detoured south along Old Davis Road. From October through December, access to California Avenue will partially reopen via a temporary detour from Old Davis Road. A portion of La Rue Drive from Parking Lot 46 to California Avenue, and a portion of Old Davis Road from the information kiosk to Beau Vine Lane will be closed.

These dates reflect a tentative schedule for the planned road closures and resulting roadway detours. The dates may be modified if the participating projects require adjustments to this schedule.

Traffic controls and detour signs will be maintained to direct traffic. All motorists, cyclists and pedestrians should adhere to the posted detours and traffic control signs.

Dateline will remind the campus community again shortly before the closures take place.
