California Duck Days, an annual celebration of wetlands and wildlife, are upon us:

• Reception -- 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23, Davis Art Center, Covell Boulevard and F Street. Wildlife art by Yolo County high school students, plus a display of California Junior Duck Stamp art. Free and open to the public.
• Family festival with field trips and workshops -- Starting at 7 a.m. Feb. 24, Yolo Wildlife Area headquarters, south Davis. $20 per person; free for children under 16 when accompanied by an adult. Fee includes all field trips and workshops; preregistration required for field trips, due to limited space
