The brothers and sisters of Leahy.
The brothers and sisters of Leahy are inviting one lucky person to dance with them onstage when they perform "The Call to Dance" during a Jan. 30 performance at the Mondavi Center.

From the Byrds to Brahms, with a rock 'n' roller-turned family entertainer in between, oh what a lineup the Mondavi Center has planned from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3. The center is even planning a bit of audience participation during a performance by Leahy, a family of fiddlers and dancers.

One person, selected beforehand in an essay contest (see "Answer the Call" below), will be invited onstage during Leahy's performance of their award-winning "The Call to Dance." The winner also will receive four tickets to the Leahy show.

Led by world-class fiddler Donnell Leahy, the Leahy siblings from Canada combine a variety of styles including jigs, Cape Breton fiddling and Celtic music with an engaging performance that includes high-energy step dancing. The show is set for 8 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Mondavi Center's Jackson Hall.
