Talk explores 'new' eco-feminism

Carolyn Merchant will give a talk on "What Eco-feminism is and Could Be" from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 17 in 3201 Hart Hall.

Education Abroad seeks applicants

The UC Education Abroad Program is currently accepting applications for 13 study center directorships.

Academic Senate members (tenured UC faculty, including lecturers with security of employment, and professors emeriti) are eligible to apply. Through academic coursework, internships and experiential learning, Education Abroad strives to promote the internationalization of the university.

The deadline for applying is 5 p.m. Jan. 17.

Diversity achievement awards set

Nominations are being re-quested for the Chancellor's Achievement Awards for Diver-sity and Community.

Faculty, staff and students, and local community members are eligible for the awards. Six awards are available, one to a member of each of the following constituencies: Academic Senate, Academic Federation, staff, graduate students, undergraduate students, and members of the community.

Completed nominations and any supporting documents should be submitted to Tammy McNiff, Program and Business Manager, Office of Campus Community Relations, 412 Mrak Hall.

The deadline is Nov. 14.
