Speaker change for managers conference

There is a speaker change for the 27th annual Adman Mid-Management conference on March 13. The new speaker is management consultant Larry Bienatti, whose presentation is titled, "The art of employee engagement and effective leadership communication."

"Adman" stands for administrative management group. Late registration for this conference is possible through March 12. More information can be found at adman.ucdavis.edu.

Soaring to New Heights tickets

Big changes have been made in the ticketing system for Soaring to New Heights, the university's annual celebration of diversity.

In years past, department representatives sold tickets around campus. But this year, the $5 tickets will be sold only through the campus box office at Freeborn Hall. Further, no departmental recharges are being allowed. All purchases must be made in-person, with only cash or checks allowed for payment; checks must be made payable to UC Regents.

The luncheon event, presented by the Office of Campus Community Relations, is scheduled from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 8 in Freeborn Hall. The program includes an information fair, and presentation of diversity and Principles of Community awards.

Ticket sales are scheduled to begin Feb. 28 and continue until all are sold, or March 29 at the latest. No tickets will be sold at the door.
